We hope you are enjoying reading this series as much as we are while writing it. We have come across some crazy laws, but we believe that the best is yet to come. We have covered the crazy laws that exist in the States of Kansas, Kentucky and Louisiana in this article and we are looking to keep this series alive as well. If we have missed out on any law, do let us know about it and we’ll add a special shout-out to you as well.
  1. Kansas: The state is known for its museums and contains locations that have made the United States famous around the world. You expect a State that prides itself about its museums and its cosmosphere to not have a poorly written law that is paradoxical at best. So the law basically states that two trains cannot move if they meet each other at a track unless the other train goes. We don’t have an iota of an idea of what they are trying to stay; we suppose this is the ultimate stalemate of epic proportions.
  2. Kentucky: The State is located in the south-eastern part of the country and is known for its world-renowned horse races. We were in fits when we came across a law that exists in the State that basically says that you can’t sell a duck that is dyed blue unless you have six or more such dyed ducks. What is the point of such a law existing and on top of that we really want to know who sat and signed off on this law?
  3. Louisiana: Say you have a family member who is away from you and is staying in Louisiana. And for some reason or another, they are not feeling too well; it could be some sort of emotional reason, or it could be due to some physical reason also. And you want to try making their day better and what better way to do it than to send them some hot and yummy pizza. Well if your loved one is staying in Louisiana and you are looking to surprise them with pizza, DON’T. Unless you want to spend $500 on top of the cost of pizza for it; because the State has a law that can fine you $500 for sending a pizza to someone without their knowledge.
That’s all for today, folks. We shall meet you soon with some more crazy laws to tickle your funny bones.
